Flat monthly plans
You pay a fixed amount per month, often tiered by property or bed count. They are predictable and often cheaper for a small PG. Check what each tier includes, because features such as WhatsApp reminders, agreements or staff access are sometimes held back for higher plans.
Per-bed plans
You pay for each bed, or each occupied bed. The bill grows with your business and shrinks when beds are empty. That suits owners who are growing, have seasonal vacancy, or don't want to pay for beds that earn nothing.
Worked example: PG Nexon at ₹35 and ₹49 per occupied bed
Alpha covers billing, collection, tenants and rooms; Alpha Plus adds expenses, payroll, Excel reports, meals, visitors and complaints. These are simple examples; PG Nexon bills on bed-days, so a bed occupied for half the month counts as half. Use the calculator on the pricing page for your own number.
- 20 occupied beds: ₹700 a month on Alpha, ₹980 on Alpha Plus
- 40 occupied beds: ₹1400 a month on Alpha, ₹1960 on Alpha Plus
- If 10 of 40 beds are empty, you pay for 30: ₹1050 on Alpha, ₹1470 on Alpha Plus
What to ask before you buy
- What exactly is included at this price, and what is not?
- Is there a minimum bill, setup fee or per-message charge?
- Does the rent go to my account, or through the vendor?
- What happens to my data if I leave?
- What can't it do today? Ask for it in writing.
An honest note on small PGs
For a very small PG, a low flat plan can cost less than a per-bed plan. PG Nexon's value is in what it covers, from move-in and agreements to electricity and deposits, and in paying only for occupied beds. If you tell us your bed count on WhatsApp, we'll give you the exact monthly figure before you decide.
